Born in 1962 in Charleroi, Antonio, child of Spanish imigrants started to be interested in music in the 70’s.


He then took part in singing competitions and was part of an Andalusian rock music group. He left
in 84 to New York to study drums at the Drummers Collective with Kenwood Dennard. On his return to Brussels, he took drum lessons with Bruno Castellucci, Afro-Cuban percussions with Justo Pelladito and participated in various jazz formations.


His interest begins to focus on traditional music such as that of the French Antilles, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Haiti, as well as Carribean music thanks to the fusion of the cultures that stay in Brussels and their musicians.


He is passionate about popular music from Brazil all the long while accompanying and collaborating with a large number of Brazilian musicians also passing through Belgium. He attends
various salsa and traditional Mexican music groups.
